CREATE A SPLASH AT FLETCHER PARK

The Mt. Zion Parks & Recreation Commission needs your help!!!! They need funds to match a recently awarded OSLAD (Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development) Grant from the State of Illinois to construct a Splash Pad at Fletcher Park. The grant award of $374,200 requires a 50% match. The total cost of the project is $748,400. Construction is anticipated to begin in the spring of 2020.
Advanced Disposal Holiday Service Questions

Advanced Disposal does not pick-up trash/recycling/yard waste on holidays in Mt. Zion. All pick-ups are pushed back one day the rest of the week.
Water Tower In-Service Date Set for Nov. 7, 2018

Mayor Mark Wells and the Village Board of Trustees are pleased to announce the completion and in-service date of November 7th for the Village's newly constructed 1,000,000 gallon water tower. The new water tower will be replacing the current 100,000 gallon water tower which was built in the 1950's. The old tower will be taken off-line and eventually demolished. The total cost of the project was $2,368,000.00 which was financed through an IEPA Loan.

Attention Motorists - Road Repairs

Mt. Zion Public Works Crews will be working to repair sections of Wildwood Drive between Woodland Drive and State Highway 121 as well as sections of Woodland Drive between the railroad tracks and Woodland Lane. Portions of the road will be reduced to one lane throughout the next 2-3 weeks. Please use caution in this area or take an alternate route. Thank you for your patience.
