Our History
Main Street Bank & Trust is an independently owned Downstate Illinois financial services franchise with banking centers located in eight Downstate Illinois communities.
Our company traces its roots back to the 19th century, at the time of the Civil War, when a law firm in Champaign County evolved into the first of our community banks in 1860. Thirteen years later, our banking presence in Decatur emerged with capital stock of $100,000 in 1873.
A state chartered and federally insured, full service financial services institution offering products and services in Business Banking, Personal Banking and Wealth Management, Main Street has more than $1.6 billion in banking assets. Our Main Street Wealth Management Division has more than $1.8 billion under management.
