VISION: Opportunity and Prosperity: Our Birthright
MISSION: The mission of the Mt. Zion Area Economic
Development Corporation is to provide new opportunities for prosperity
and growth to Mt. Zion.
GOALS: In order to fulfill the Corporation’s
mission, the following goals
will direct the
course of action:
1) To maintain a viable economic development organization as
evidenced by
unity within and among the committees and membership, a universal
commitment to the vision and mission of the Corporation, development
of a
long-range plan of action, development of a short-term plan of
action,
introduction of new business enterprises into the area, and expansion
of
existing businesses.
2) To establish a partnership with the area
businesses, the Chamber of Commerce, and all units of local government
as evidenced by
cooperation, joint ventures,
open communication, and supportive roles among and between all parties.
3) To
effectively market Mt. Zion as an area of opportunity as evidenced
by development and implementation of a marketing plan that attracts
and supports complimentary
industries to enhance Mt. Zion’s quality of life, produce population growth,
and increase the Village of Mt. Zion’s tax base.
All the affairs of the Mt. Zion Area Economic Development Corporation
are managed by its Board of Director’s. All directors are
elected annually and the Board is supported by the following entities:
