Welcome to the Mt. Zion Police Explorer Web Site. This web site is intended to give other explorers, private citizens, and police officers a look at what Mt. Zion Police Exploring is all about.
About Us
Mt. Zion Police Explorer Post #2043 was established in 1997. Its purpose is to provide members with knowledge and insight in the area of law enforcement, develop leadership qualities, and aid the Mt. Zion Police Department in serving the community. Explorers meet once a month during the school year and twice a month during the summer. They receive training in a variety of areas related to law enforcement and are eligible to participate in the Ride-Along Program after one year of post membership.
Requirements
Mt. Zion Police Explorer Post #2043 is open to young men and women ages 15-21 (age 14 if a freshman in high school) who are interested in learning about law enforcement. In order to be considered for post membership individuals must meet the following requirements:
· All post members of high school age must maintain at least a “C” average in school. · All post members must be of a high moral character with no criminal background. · Applicants must have full approval of parent or guardian.
